Steps To Success

At Peach State Health Plan, we believe in transforming the health of the community, one person at a time. We support education!

The Steps to Success program offer academic support, education resources and most importantly, we want to address academic barriers.  

To get this Valued-Added Benefits, please complete the form below. Legal guardian must complete form on behalf of member.

Eligibility Statement: Member eligibility requirements apply.  A legal guardian must complete the form on behalf of a member.  Each Steps to Success program listed will issue one voucher per child every 12 months.

Tutoring Services

For qualified members in grades K-12, offer tutoring services to address academic barriers.

  • 10 tutoring sessions per year (maximum 1 hour per session) for members.

Qualification Requirement:

  • All active Peach State members in grades K-12.

Available August through May 

How to Access Benefits:

Registration between July 1, 2021 through April 1, 2023.

You must have a Medicaid ID in order to register; if you do not know your Medicaid ID number; please call the Member Services to register at 1-800-704-1484.

Internet Access/Hotspot

For qualified members in grades K-12 can receive three (3) months of internet access during the school year.

GED Benefit

Members ages 16 and older who are not currently enrolled in school would receive the following:

  • Free GED testing
  • Information and tools on test preparation
  • Voucher to cover 4 required tests

 Approximate value of benefit is $160 per member.

Qualification Requirement:

  • Members ages 16 and older. Not currently enrolled in high school who have not received a high school equivalency certificate or Diploma.
  • Member will only be provided a GED packets, once (annually).
  • Have a valid State ID Card.

SAT/ACT Guide 

All Eligible Georgia Families Medicaid and Peachcare for high school members can receive free SAT or ACT study guide and practice exams. Active members in the 11th & 12th grade.

Qualification Requirement:

  • Members ages 16 and older. Not currently enrolled in high school who have not received a high school equivalency certificate or Diploma.
  • Member will only be provided a GED packets, once (annually).
  • Have a valid State ID Card.

Educational & Job Training Scholarships

Active members interested in attending a two (2) year or four (4) year college, vocational, or technical school this fall semester can apply for an educational scholarship. A $10,000 scholarship will be awarded to selected members ages 18 and older.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Active Peach State Member (ages 18 or over) must submit proof of being a full-time student at a 2-year or 4-year college, vocational, or technical school acceptance letter for Fall Semester 2022; prior to payment being issued.
  • Limit of one (1) PSHP applicant per household.

Registration: July 1 through midnight July 30. Winners will be announced in September 2022.

College Bound Dorm Room Supplies

Graduating high school members are eligible for a gift card to purchase supplies for their dorm room.

Qualifications Requirements:

  • Members ages 18 and older at the time of enrollment.
  • Must be a graduating high school senior with proof of acceptance to attend college.
  • Limit to one (1) PSHP applicant per household.

Registration between July 1, 2022 through July 30th, 2022.
