Mission Moment: Helping Georgia Students for Continued Success
Date: 02/12/26
Throughout January, Peach State Health Plan (PSHP) collaborated with community organizations and public agencies to ensure families could access the tools and information needed for a strong second half of the school year through a series of Repack the Backpack and Retool the School events, reaching children, families, and members across Georgia.
These events reflect our commitment to supporting educational success and promoting the overall well‑being of Georgia’s youth. Event attendees received essential school supplies, hygiene products, winter accessories, and connections to valuable local resources.
Event Recap:
- Albany, GA – Over 200 community members participated in a resource-filled Repack the Backpack event with support from the Albany Police Department.
- Columbus, GA – PSHP and Ambetter Community Relations employees partnered at the Retool the School event to provide educational materials and support.
- Atlanta, GA – 175+ attendees received backpacks and resources from PSHP and multiple community partners.
These events are part of Peach State Health Plan’s ongoing mission to remove barriers to health, education, and opportunity for families across Georgia. As one member shared, “I love coming to these events. I always get surprises from info to [no-cost] items or even just a great conversation. Having [Peach State Health Plan] has made having a newborn amazing and even supportive for my 16-year-old.”
