The Peach State Health Plan Emerging Talent program recognizes top performers for their overall on-the-job effectiveness and provides opportunities to further develop their talent and leadership skills.  This program provides a unique opportunity for individuals to interact in new ways with both Plan and Corporate leaders and to develop new skills and competencies that help them to grow as individual contributors and as potential leaders.  

Program priorities: 

• Talent – Identify key talent to potentially work in a cross-function capacity.
• Leadership – enhance leadership skills.
• Management – provide learning opportunities to develop management skills.
• Plan/Company Initiatives – provide opportunities to support Plan/Company immediate and ongoing priorities.
• Competency Development – customized enhancement of competencies.
• Contribution – Add value to the Plan and contribute to the bottom line. 

The selected participants of this six-month program participate in skill and competency development workshops through Centene University and attend training sessions facilitated by various members of the Peach State Health Plan and Centene management teams, as well as receive various leadership assignments within the Plan. 

Other development and leadership assignments/activities may include the following: 

• Attend bi-weekly Emerging Talent meetings/learning sessions.
• Job shadow.
• Present at Sr. and Executive management team meetings.
• Mentor a new hire within the Plan and/or facilitate on-boarding activities.
• Participate in new manager assimilation sessions.
• Assist in the AOP management and budget planning process for current department.
• Enroll in an outside networking/professional group.
• May attend a DCH and provider meetings.
• Complete reading assignments and participate in discussions pertaining to their development.
• Lead a cross-functional team.
• Provide volunteer assistance during Peach State Health Plan company –sponsored community/member programs, etc.
